I am a painter and traditional printmaker (primarily etching) and live part of the year on Mt Desert Island in Maine and the other part in Chattanooga, Tennessee. My art depicts mostly maritime or mountain themes as this is where I spend most of my time enjoying the outdoors.
I have been an artist for most of my life--though my career path has led me to holding many jobs. In 2001 I took the leap and became a full-time artist . I hold both a bachelor's and master's degrees in fine art.
I spend the year traveling around much of the eastern US doing weekend art festivals (check the link above for times and locations) as well as exhibiting through select galleries and out of my homes. Traveling overseas also enhances my artistic perspective of the world.
In addition to being an active full-time artist, I also produce two art festivals on Mt Desert Island in Maine during the summer: The Bar Harbor Fine Arts Festival (BHFAF) and the Northeast HarborFest. (NEH). Artists wishing to participate in these shows held at the peak of the tourist season may apply at Zapplication.
