Paragliding lessons are structured so that the student advances with equal amounts of hands on hill training and classroom theory. While the mechanics of launching, flying and landing a paraglider are of great importance, it is ultimately the student's development of judgement skills that will ensure a long, enjoyable and hopefully injury-free carreer of free-flying through paragliding. This is the core of our "fly-for-life" philosophy.

Lessons are conducted using late model paragliders and equipment. Locations of lessons will depend on weather conditions and the student's relative experience level. Most training areas are within 50 mile's drive of Mt Desert.

Options available to prospective students:

1. Take lessons one-at-a-time at a cost of $140.00 per lesson.

2. Prepurchase 5 or more lessons and a 20% discount will be applied.

4. Tandem flights are $145.00 each, or $120.00 each for current DA students.

5. Scooter tows are $5.00 each, (but are free to current DA students)
